The fact we have to upload the spells is kind of bad, but its not hard to find a link with all of them on the web. Once you have it, the app is amazing! Good job!

I expected all the D&D 5 spells to be in the app already, but you have to create the list manually by downloading a file, editing it on your computer and uploading that list to e.g. Dropbox! If you want that, fine, it might not be that bad an app. But this is not what I wanted and not what I payed for, since theres nothing in the description that says how to use the app and the screenshots clearly show a spell book full of spells.

A bit of a disappointment, since it requires a lot of work (by having to implement all the spells on your own) even for having a low price. Other Apps like "Spells" for Pathfinder do a much better job here. At least a prefabricated spellbook containing all the official spells and being updated with official material (Elemental Evil) should be offered or already being implemented. Also there should be a function to create several presets of spellbook, containing specific spells for each individual character, suitable for users, who play several campaigns simultaneously. Even if this would make the app more expensive (up to 2.99€) this would make it a lot more enjoyable. Also it does not work with dropbox in combination with iOS. Although doing as shown in the tutorial the app does not find the file.

Theres a community-created database that holds all the D&D spell information that you need to load. (Do a quick google search for D&D Spell Reference Mobile App) Once its up and inputted, smooth sailing!

Sheesh, people just have to read the instructions. Follow them, and youre good! Very handy app.

Not when I was looking for does not have spells in application I have to upload them

Installed and followed the instructions to download the spellbook. Its essential to join the discussion on reddit, other users have included their own spellbook data. Five minutes and mine is ready to go.

Waste of money. Its just an empty program that you need to download another program into.

My brother has a Samsung phone and he got an app for free that works great, I pay for one and its complete garbage

Cant believe I got suckered into paying for an empty app. I WANT MY MONEY BACK. This is garbage. DONT FALL INTO THE TRAP.

Really disappointed with an empty app. No spells nothing... I am not going to fish around to make this app happen. Waste of my time and perhaps money.... I cant recall paying for this... If I did I would want my .99 cents back.... Not even worth that.

I was a bit disappointed to see its empty but followed instructions and got it all uploaded. Works great now!

No spell book piece of crap app

This app is actually fantastic. The problem that people have is that theyre too lazy to enter in the spellbook database that needs to be added. Once this is done, the app has great functionality - search features, class filters, level sorting and more. Check reddit for a spelldata package. This is a fantastic tool for DMs and players alike.

Crush with IOS9 Please fix IT

The only reason this app has such a low rating is because people who download it and see that the spellbook is blank dont bother reading. To load all the spells, go to google and search for "D&D 5e Spellbook" and the second link should be a Reddit post by the maker of this app. The first reply is a link to the spells available in the 5th edition, so just click the link. Once the page loads, copy the url, go to the app, click on the 3 bars at the top, and paste the url. Congrats, you have a complete spellbook!

I understand that its a bit hard to get the spell book downloaded into the ap ( it took me a good half hour to figure it out) however the trouble is well worth it. I now can find information on any of the many numerous spells in the game without the hassle of searching through an entire book allowing me to keep running my games smoothly and efficiently and my players happy

This is terrible if I wanted to write my own spells this would be great. for everything else it is garbage!
